Why does the unemployment rate not include post insurance unemployed?

Q. People who are out of unemployment insurance and still unemployed are not counted . Why? Wouldn't it be a more true indicator of the state of the emploment situation? Does the country's leader really think you should be a departent store greeter 6 months and 1 day after your tech job goes to China.

A. Because it's the unemployment RATE, not the unemployment percentage. It's the rate of new applications being filed to collect unemployment insurance.
No, the countrys leader probably doesn't think that. Since this is money paid to you as a result of making a 'claim' on the policy you paid into while you were working, you are only due the dollar value that you were insured for.

How do you ship jewelry within Canada?
Q. I have rings that need to be shipped from Saskatchewan, Canada to Alberta, Canada.

What is the best way to ship the rings with a tracking number and insurance?

Canada Post has insurance up to $5000, but the rings are more than the insurance would cover.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A. You can use services like parcel pro who provide insurance and ship with fedex. You have to set up an account.

Do you technically have to have a proof of posting stamp when returning an item?
Q. I bought something from topshop and i don't have that much time to walk to the nearest post office. Can I just post it normally?
Doesn't proof of posting just provide insurance of something?
Thanks

A. Bascially if you can't be bothered to walk to the post office to get the certificate of posting, it seems you're not very bothered about whether your package reaches safely.
If you just "post it normally" - presumably you mean in a postbox - where is your proof of posting.
Insurance is not free and never has been

How would auto insurance company know if I am unemployed?
Q. I noticed someone posted that their auto insurance rates went up since they are unemployed. I have been unemployed since February and my rates stayed the same. I don't tell the insurance company that I lost my job. How will the insurance company know if I am working or not?

A. They don't know if you are employed or not.

It's not based on employment - it's based on credit score. Likely, that other person also stopped paying bills.
