Q. What is the difference between United states and Canada health care system?
A. Canada's healthcare is based on the idea that it is the duty of a government to protect its citizens. They are protected from foreign invasion by the army (govt funded) and from disease by the healthcare system (govt funded).
US healthcare is based on the idea that you must pay for your own healthcare, unless you are very poor or are old, in which case some government assistence is given.
In Canada you have peace of mind, and people pay what they can afford, In the USA people worry a lot, and pay often what they can't afford.

Should the United States provide free health care for all people?
Q. We Americans have a health care system but there are some who live without an expensive health insurance. Right now, health insurance is paid by various companies. Elsewhere in the world, in countries such as Canada, Cuba, England, and most of Europe, there is universal health care for all people.
I have a series of questions here: Why is it that some countries have free health care? Should the United States provide free health care for all people? If so, then what should we, or the government, do to give health benefits to all?

A. Nothing is free. Universal health care would be paid for with higher taxes. Our current system is paid for with deductions from your pay check or you buy it privately like any other type of insurance. Either way you are paying for it.
