Q. When I view questions in Browse Categories it goes to recommeded questions. Why?
A. It's a new feature that Yahoo Answers is testing. Not everyone has it right now, but most of the people who do see it don't like it - myself included. Basically, it's a feature that lists questions that Yahoo Answers has determined that you'd be good at answering. However, not every category has these recommended questions; they're based on questions you've answered in the past. So I don't have any recommended questions in the mathematics category, for example. (Thank goodness; I'd just confuse people.)
You can read the blog post about it and make comments about it here: http://yanswersblog.com/index.php/archives/2012/06/25/new-feature-to-recommend/ -- if enough people comment about wanting it to change, we might see those changes. Most people just don't want it to be the default tab.

Why is the ending of the opening scene creating suspensethe act 1 scene 1 of Diary of Anne Frank novel?
Q. I think the ending of the opening scene creates suspense because Anne Franks family left secretly with another family (the Daans family) to hideout. It seems as though they are trying to run away from their issues.
Anyone help! Do I have the right answer?

How can education open you life up for more job choices?
Q. I may have rephrased the question kind of hard to understand. I need 3 reasons on why education can help you with you career choices!
A. 1) Some employers only consider people who have completed a high school diploma, a bachelor degree, a master degree or a doctoral degree (given the position).
2) One example: My father was only able to get a grade 3 position in the federal government (at age 39) as he dropped out of school after sixth grade. I began in a grade 9 position in the federal government (at age 23) as I completed a master degree (applied mathematics).
3) Sounds like you do not want to continue in education. (A reason for this?) If this is true, then do not expect a good chance of finding a good career.
If you are under age 30, then I definitely encourage you to continue in education.

Why do people bother to answer paranormal questions when they don't believe in it?
Q. Honestly, haven't folks got better questions to answer or better things to do then jump in and insult people asking questions about paranormal phenomenon? If you don't believe in paranormal occurrences, then just MOVE ON! Stop trying to bogart easy points by stopping by a question and offering nothing- just keep going, no one will miss you.
Might taking Paranormal Phenom out of Science and Mathematics be a good idea?
I believe that Paranormal Phenomena should be moved out of Science and Mathematics but Parapsychology left in the Sci/Math category, although as one commenter remarked, the pseudo-skeptics or cynical types would probably seek out posts and continue their onslaught no matter where it is. I enjoy a healthy dose of skepticism and I consider myself more of a skeptic than a believer most of the time, but I find it sad that there are people out there 'stalking' this category to ridicule others and add nothing of benefit other than personal attacks, and it occurs rather frequently.

A. I think it would be great to move it away from science and mathematics. By doing such we may not get as many of the personal onslaughts that we open ourselves up to for admitting we believe in things which others find it so difficult to do.
I have no issue whatsoever in people having different opinions, nor do I have issues with those that do not believe, there are a number of things in this world that I don't believe. What I do have a problem with are those people that find it satisfying to openly ridicule and humiliate others just because of their belief. Perhaps with a few more open minds and an acceptance of others beliefs, we would all stand to learn something new. We should be looking at sharing knowledge and experience on all subject matters, not just dismissing things because they lack scientific proof.
I wish everyone a happy and peaceful future, filled with all the wonderful things that this universe has to offer. :-)
