how to register on sites of Korean stores without the social security number?

Q. would like to register on Korean sites to buy me clothes, but in the REGISTER, you need a Social Security number. I live in Canada and it seems that the social security number does not exist, but rather the social insurance number. How do I register?

A. Never give your SIN (or US SSN) to anyone other than specific government agencies -- Canada Revenue, your provincial health care plan, etc.

How can I get a canadian social security number?
Q. I'm a Belgian citizen. I'm planning on going to Canada to attend a training course at a private company who guarantees me employment after succesfuly completing the course.

They said I need a Canadian Social Security number before I can start working. How long does it take? How can I get this?

I've send an email to the Canadian embassy in my country but still no reply.

A. I think the Canadian company is saying only residents can take the training because you get a social insurance number in Canada after you emigrate. You cannot be employed in Canada unless you first emigrate there. I think the company assumed you were already a Canadian resident. You would not be allowed political asylum from Belgium, so you have to go through the normal channels.

Can a Canadian citizen get a US social security number?
Q. My boyfriend is planning on moving from canada to the us and he wants to know what requirements you need to get a social security number or citizenship so he can work legally in the states. Can someone help me out? :)
Any idea where you would start to get a work visa?

A. Social Security cards can be granted to a legal, resident alien -- citizenship is not a requirement. If he got a work visa, the Social Security card would say that it is valid only with work authorization by the government.

We'd have to know what kind of education and experience he has in order to tell you what kind of work visa is possible. Try this visa selection tool for Canadians:

http://www.grasmick.com/discover.htm

In employment cases, he would have to find an employer willing to hire him and that he would have to be eligible for one of those work visas.

The other possibility is for you to be engaged as there is a fiance visa.

You can get more information here:

Citizenship is a long way off. He'd have to have permanent residency first and then wait for several years before applying.

Canada, it says so in my question!

A. Go to this site:
