What are some good questions to ask a breeder to make sure that you are getting what you expect?

Q. Since there are a lot of questions lately that ask about websites to buy puppies (shutter!), sick puppies, and even about Christmas puppies, I thought that I should ask.

What are things you should look for? What are questions you should ask? What do you need to be prepared for when buying a puppy?

A. a. May I visit the kennel and see the dogs?
b. Can you show me the OFA, CERF, thyroid, etc. results?
c. Do you have the sire and/or dam & what are their pedigrees?
d. May I interact with the puppies, so I can do my own evaluation of them?
e. Are you a member of the national breed club?
f. What health guarantees do you make?
g. Under what conditions can I return the puppy?

Equally important are the questions they ask you:
a. How much experience do you have with dogs?
b. What are you looking for in terms of temperament, size, activity level, etc.?
c. What kinds of dogs do you NOT like?
d. Do you have experience with this breed?
e. Where will you keep the dog, what facilities are available for it?
f. If it's a pet quality dog, will you spay/neuter it?
g. Who is your veterinarian?
h. Will you be willing to provide for the dog's exercise and nutritional needs?
i. Will you agree not to rehome the dog without first contacting me?

There are probably some more, but these are the ones that come to mind immediately.

How can I promote a great website by using a magazine?
Q. Do I have to ask the website's owner for permission? If I have the permission then how can I design an ad to promote the website in the magazine? Is there any special way? Any additional help and tips are appreciated.

A. I am assuming you are not the publisher of the magazine...so my suggestion is to write an article on a topic associated with the website, and mention the website address in the article. You can then sell (or offer for free) the article to magazines that are focused on the same type of market. Magazines get their money from ads, so they need relevant content to fill the magazine. Contact the magazine publishers to find out how to submit your article for consideration. This will promote the website using a magazine without having to pay for an ad. Your article needs to be interesting to readers and not appear to be geared to advertise the site. The article should be written as your point of view as a user of the website, and your personal interest in the topics associated with this site.

What websites do you recommend to buy laptops?
Q. I am looking for an affordable, quality laptop that will last me 4 years. Please specify the laptop you would recommend and why. Also, I'm on a budget so a laptop under $1000 would be nice. Remember, I'm also asking what websites you would recommend to buy quality laptops at a cheaper price. (Much like when you buy furniture from a warehouse) Thank you for your help!

A. For sites, I would suggest:
www.newegg.com
www.mwave.com

For laptops that is affordable and that will get you through a few years, I would suggest a lower name brand like fujitsu or acer. My sister bought a HP a few weeks ago and she loves it. She paid around $650 for it at Best Buy. It only has a Celeron Processor, but all she does is do Word Documents, surf the net, and watch movies. Those laptops are good for that purpose and they will last a long time as long as you take care of them. If you want performance with a budget, get a low brand. If you just want one to surf and watch movies, get an HP or Toshiba with a Celeron. On those, just make sure you have at least 512MB of memory and probably around 60 - 80 gigs of HDD space (depending on what you plan on using it for). But if you want a laptop that will not be outdated for 4 years, your looking at twice your budget. Unless you get lucky at auctions. The one thing I suggest, whatever you decide, take the preinstalled trial software and non microsoft games that come with a new laptop, out. They usually tend to use up alot of HDD space and memory, and it usually slows down your laptop. Hopefully this can help you decide.

What is a good family safe upload website ?

I am more of looking/asking for websites that i can upload videos too, you know any, please share.

A. http://www.PutFile2.com is a free upload site, that also converts videos for online viewing and keeps the original source file which people can download. It's family friendly.
