What phones has wifi built on it and can have a laptop connect to the wifi on phone?
Q. Basically what phone is the wifi itself and can allow a computer or laptop to connect to that wifi on the phone?
A. As the other person stated, it's called tethering. Most cell phone companies charge for it, but I have found that using my Android phone on T-Mobile that the tethering doesn't cost extra if you don't go over your data plan usage.
I have a T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant (there are newer android phones - they need to have version 2.2 or higher for the tethering option).
There are other smart phones and other companies that do charge more for it, but that wasn't a problem with me.
Hope this helps!

What is the best phone wire to use to replace the original 1950's phone wire that is currently in my house?
Q. (Besides phone the new wire would also handle fax and DSL.)
Also, what type of main phone terminal is recommended, if any? Right now my phone wire enters the house in the basement and is attached to a very old 2 screw phone terminal.

A. You can purchase standard low voltage phone wire and the junction box at any home improvement store. No need for special wire to handle your fax and dsl.
What does a cell phone service provider require to carry over my service to a new phone?
Q. My current phone is breaking apart so I am buying a new used phone. Verizon will transfer my new number and current service to the new used phone, but what kind of information do they need? I assume that whoever sells me the phone (off of craigslist or ebay most likely) will also need to give me the serial number of that phone. What other information about the phone do I need to make sure the seller has?
A. The phone has to be a Verizon-branded phone. Verizon requires the ESN. If it's clean, Verizon will activate it. If it's not clean, it cannot be activated. Before you buy the phone, get the ESN and call it in to Verizon to see if it's clean.
