Q. Should I just become a hack like The Man and cut and paste the same rants over and over?
Or should I post completely innocuous questions and answers and trust that the reputation I've established with keep people guessing my intentions?

A. Please, no. One 'The Man' is more than enough.
Why are complicated questions answered less times?
Q. Why here on yahoo answers the complicated questions (mainly psycology and social science) are the least answered?
A. Lack of knowledge and life experience and laziness. People are just too MENTALLY lazy to spend any time RESEARCHING an answer in those sections. I often get best answers because I INCLUDE LINKS in my answers that BACK UP what I SAID in my answer. I hang out in Science and Mathematics. I'll occasionally answer questions in Social Sciences and Psychology and Mental Health, but I usually only do that because the question catches my eye when I'm on the All Categories page.

A. This kind of answers both.
Think of it like this. If your country is so victorious and you and your people think that you can defeat everyone and take over the world and you lose a huge battle. All of your people and their views will melt down eventually.
And say if your millitary loses to you're oppenent. And your oppenent invades. They will tell your people do live and do things a certain way. (Just like how the British tried to do with the French in the eairly 1800's in Canada).
It's called assimilation. Your people would have to lose their own culture to learn a new one. This is kind of what happened to the aboriginals in Canada. They used to use arrows and knives to kill animals and when the Europeons arrived they started using guns. Now if the Europeons would leave they would have no more guns and not know how to make arrows etc.
This is kind of what is happening in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hope this Helps

Dream interpretation as a social science?
Q. I find it very odd that Yahoo! Answers places dream interpretation in the category of the social sciences. I have seen the questions in this subcategory, and they all seem to be incredibly unscientific, and most often antiscientific.
Fellow anthropologists, is it right for this to be so categorized? Do you consider something so subjective, open-ended, and decentralized to be worthy of being called a social science?

A. I agree that dream interpretation should not be classified as a science, but remember that historically, it used to be, along with the flights of birds,(augury), astrology, and the examination of chicken guts,(haruspicy), and many other odd things were the common science of the day.
This does not change the fact that many off-subject questions get posted to incorrect groups, and I agree that dream interpretation should be in some kind of "other" category.
