What is your reaction to how the name of this category is changed to gender studies?

Q. - will there be less biased questions/answers aimed towards women in the future?
- will you see this category as neutral and not "created for feminists"?
- will this category slowly turn into a peaceful social science section about gender studies?

I don't know. On some parts it still says women studies but if yahoo really did change the name, it did it for a good reason.
What's stupid?
What I really hope is that anti feminists won't complain so much and people will stop making sexist posts towards women. And it won't show women as victims anymore.

A. It's a good thing.
Ha... no.
It was probably created for feminists, since no other people were initially interested in gender studies.
Ha again... and he|| no. lol Tr()lls will be tr()lls.

You sound too optimistic. I don't think people were tr()lling this place to begin with because it had "women" in the name. They just do it to get attention. They'll still do it because gender, like religion and politics, is a thing that people get easily riled about. So, as I said, tr()lls will be tr()lls.

how do i answer this history question about social sciences?
Q. "the purpose, in social sciences, is to not answer questions...but rather question answers in the world around you"

Respond to the following quote about your opinion about how we understand the world around us and how it has been shaped by the things we do.

A. I'm sure you know the answer to this, but I'll help you brainstorm.

Keywords:
Culture
Diversity
Influence
Curiosity
Observations of individuals(psychology)
Observations of groups of individuals(sociology)

If we weren't curious about the things around us, then how we would we have made discoveries?
Society would not move forward without experimentation and innovations made based on that experimentation. If we hadn't tested out vaccines, then how would we know if they would work or not?
I think you get the point.
And P.S.
To the negative posters on here, this is a site specifically made to ask questions in several different categories ranging from history to math, to relationships. If you don't like the fact that someone is utilizing this source of information, then just don't comment at all.

What can I do for a scientific or social science field study?
Q. I have to either observe something in science or social science.
The purpose is to derive a question that I want answered, and then answer it in a 5 page report.

My professor said with natural science, I could observe something on campus... like how student traffic in a particular area effects life for squirrels or birds... with Social Science I could pose a question to students and gather feedback via surveys.

I'm not sure what I should do!

A. I once released a pair of normal white ducks that had been penned and caged and raised only for eating into a pond with other ducks. First off, it was fun to see them take flight for the first time, but also I noticed that they were shunned by the regular adult Mallard) pond ducks. But as the baby Mallard ducks grew to adulthood, the white ducks were able to join them as a group.

What are (in your own opinion) 10 good aspects to a Yahoo question that sparks people's interest?
Q. What makes someone decide a question is interesting enough to be marked "interesting". It doesn't have to be ten. But the more the better. What are the emotions that arise for some questions to have over 100 answers, while others are left unanswered. Try to include a topic and question you might think would spark Intetrest. Then after the voting is done. ;-) Post your question on yahoo answers and see how it rolls. The social science of things is really very amaizing.

A. a) a taboo subject e.g. experiences of sex.
b) a controversial subject. .e.g. terrorism
c) A subject which you are keen on e.g. sports.

e) A question which specifically singles people out. e.g. Why do jews....?
f) A question with an angry atmosphere. e.g. Why the ***** do ....?
