Q. My family has NEP. I've never had a phone before, but I know the iphone 4s does not come available with NEP. I don't really feel like paying an extra $450, is there a free way to unlock it for free? Please specify whether it's legal or not, if it's illegal please still say if it's possible. Also, please don't try suggesting a new phone, or anything like that. Thanks!

The Easiest And Free way to unlock your phone is by jailbreaking it. Jailbreaking IS legal, HOWEVER the iPhone 4S is in the process of being worked on to be jailbroken. Once a solution is available, you can jailbreak it, which in turn, allows you to use your phone on any network.

Could I start a new contract with Sprint for the iPhone 4s and cancel service within 14 days and keep it?
Q. I already have service with sprint under my sisters name. We are on a family plan, but do not have an upgrade for the iPhone 4s. My question is could I start service under my name buy the iPhone for the new customer price and cancel service within 14 days and keep the phone and activate it on my sisters account. My other big question is would that effect my credit or the possibility of me being able to have Sprint in the future? Thanks
A. Do not do that. You will end up paying so much money and could possibly get in trouble. If you try to do that you first have to pay for the new phone and new plan. Then if you want to cancel you will also have an early termination fee and since we are talking about the iphone or any smartphone sprint can charge you upwards of 400 dollars now thats the price for the phone alone. you also have to pay for your service. So this can be a hassle and like i said there's a possibility of you getting in trouble. If you really want the iphone just buy the unlock version at its full price because honestly that is cheaper than what you want to do
