How can I obtain product liability insurance for a new baby product I invented?

Q. I have searched for insurance companies and agents everywhere for this but the only one or two companies I have found only insure multi-million dollar companies. I am just starting out and need to find product liability insurance before I can start manufacturing and selling. Please help!

A. You have to go to an independent agent, who can put this out on the surplus market. I disagree with the guy that says find the largest agency - they're the ones most likely to say this isn't worth their time, and refuse to bother to quote you.

The direct writers - State Farm, Allstate, Nationwide, etc, are NOT going to be interested in this. An independent will find a company for you.

It's not going to be cheap. Plan on this coverage STARTING at $5,000, maybe more. And you'll have to give them a TON of detailed information, so it's probably going to take a couple weeks to get a quote.

How can i get theft insurance for my iPhone 4 on prepay?
Q. I am at the moment searching for insurance....because as some of you may know iPhone s are worth alot , and must be insured.....but the thing is i dont know where to get it done.... because my network only offer insurance for iPhone on bill pay...and i am on prepay.....Much appreciated!

A. Add it to your homeowners or Contents Insurance. It would be added the same way they add jewelery.

All you need is an appraisal but be warned, you will only get the difference between the value at the time it is lost and the deductible.

If I recall the phone only costs $500 and if you sign up for a package it's about $100. next year it will be worth far less so when you declare the value don't overdo it. You will be paying premium on the value you say it's worth.

I need the names of some good film production insurance companies in Philadelphia?
Q. I am searching for insurance companies that provide production coverage for filmmaking in and around Philadelphia. Does anyone know where I can find that information? I've checked yellowpages.com already.

A. These companies usually work nationally, but they tend to be located where the number of customers is greatest--in other words, the Los Angeles area, and to some extent, New York City. Do a Google or Yahoo search for "film insurance" and I'm sure you will get plenty of hits. Then call their toll-free numbers (they always have one) and discuss your needs.

However, I am pretty sure that the Chubb Group of insurance companies still writes film production insurance policies, and they have a big presence in the Philadelphia area. I kind of doubt that their film insurance is *based* here, but they do have a local office, so you might start with them.

Where to find the best and cheapest medical insurance?
Q. Ok, I think I am already addicted to this Yahoo Answers thing considering this is my 3rd question already! LOL, Anyway, I have currently been without any health insurance for over a year now and I do not want to risk that any longer! My problem is, of course, money. The insurance offered through my job is pretty good but it is also pretty expensive ($54 every 2 weeks: $108/month) not including dental. I have done the famous google search for health insurance quotes and I keep coming up with the same few sites that acutally show me the quotes and not have to call me or email me some crap. .
Can anyone give me some tips on where to look? I want to pay less then $100/month with dental included and I have found 1 that seems decent so far but I feel like I can find something better.
I am looking for a deductable between $500 and $1000 and the cheapest possible copay, no more than $30.

Thanks!

A. That's actually not too bad, as far as insurance goes. I pay $80 a month, but my deductible is $2500. However, my deductible really only kicks in if I have real hospitalization, I don't have to reach it before I get benefits on doctor visits ($25) and medication (80%) and other things. As someone who is self employed, that was the cheapest decent one I could find. I just got it today, but I have friends who use it and say it's great. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I'll try to remember or find the name and get back to you. $100 is not too bad though.
