Q. Sorry no one would answer this question in insurance area....
Is there a list of Insurance companies that have not honored policies of Katrina? Is there a candidate who has addressed the insurance companies that do not honor policies, and why are they still allowed to exist?

A. The insurance policies did not include flooding due to levee damage. You got to remember, New Orleans is below sea level. If the homes were only destroyed due to flooding from rain, the policies would have been honored.

Is there a need for my husband to come to prenatal visits?
Q. My husband wants to come to the prenatal visits. He was there for the first ultrasound at 6 weeks, then was there for the first prenatal visit where they did the exam then invited him in for all the health questions, insurance info, ect. It seems the rest of the visits until about 36 weeks will be boring for him; should I discourage him from coming? He has to take a whole morning off work to go to the doctors office which is an hour away from his work but only 5 minutes from mine and I feel guity about that.
A. I think it's exciting for him to come along because he gets to hear firsthand from the doctor how you and the baby are progressing. With my first child, my husband came along to every visit because we didn't know what to expect and it was all new to us. With our second baby, he came to the first couple of visits and of course the big U/S to find out the sex. I would just explain to him that it isn't absolutely necessary, as most of the time it's weigh ins and measurements, but let him make the choice of whether or not he wants to come.
This is a question about storm repair work and insurance companies?
Q. Is anyone familiar with working on storm(hail) damaged homes and dealing with the insurance scopes and adjusters. Question: most insurance companies allow the contractor to add additional monies for "complexity of coordination" if infact there is more than 1 trade involved. How do I find out what the amounts/percentages are for each insurance company involved on each repair job or scope?
A. Not exactly. If you use a general contractor, they can add profit and overhead, to the actual cost of the subcontractors. It's usually around 10%.
What insurance do you have and what does it cover?
Q. I asked a question about insurance, but I'm going to ask this as well so I can possibly look into another insurance.
If you're with a plan through an employer you don't count lol...I'm curious about people with private insurance.
Or maybe you can recommend an insurance provider and tell me what they cover fertility wise...?

A. I saw your other question - you will want to direct this to people that live in California specifically but the state is involved in what is mandated in your state.
For example, I live in MA and in my state insurance companies in group plans (companies over 50 etc) are required to provide infertility coverage. My appointments, diagnosis, treatments including 6 IUI cycles and 1 IVF cycle were all covered with just my co-pay but my friend in Annaheim had an insurance plan that was not required to provide any coverage.
Good luck!
