Does it bother you when kids answer parenting questions?

Q. I noticed some people putting down on pre-teen,teens who answer parenting questions.

I actually like seeing their opinions on the situations, since they are either at that age, or were close to it not to long ago. They might be able to "fill in" the other side of the story.

What do you think? Do you think only other parents should answer?

A. Well, I'm 18, I've spent considerable time around kids of all ages (babysitting, camp counselor, day care volunteer, etc.) but I don't think I'm a parent. On the other hand, I can still offer my opinion because sometimes it's a good idea that other people haven't thought of, and let the parent decide whether they want to follow it or not. As long as I don't say something like, "OMG, ThAT is SOoo uNFAir, u shudnt mAke ur kidz du choOrz!!!!" I don't see what the big deal is. Just because I don't have kids yet doesn't mean I won't be a good mom, and not everyone who IS a parent is qualified. Nobody's forcing you into action, just look at the answers and see what you like best.

What gets the most thumbs down the quickest in the parenting section?
Q. A. Posting about Nazis
B. Calling someone a troll
C. Asking why some posted a non-parenting question

and does your answer make you wonder about the sanity of the people in here just a little

A. Just people looking at my name gets me the thumbs down. Doesn't have to be any kind of answer.
I just question that people aren't happy with their lives, so they try to make everyone else unhappy too. I guess that's insane.

Parenting will be a joyful process when you take care of you, as well as your child.?
Q. A. Take a break once in a while. Go out with friends or your partner. Ask a friend, family member or someone you trust to stay with your child.

B. Go for walks with your child and meet other parents. Enjoy music and other activities you like.

C. Get your parenting questions answered by visiting the Ontario Early Years Centre in your area.

D. See your doctor if you are sick, feel sad for more than two weeeks or if you are worried that your behavior may harm your child.

E. All of the above.

A. E. All of the above.

What cable commercial has the little boy asking his parents tough questions?
Q. I saw a commercial the other day where a little boy asked his parents tough questions that they didn't have time to answer. Then the daughter looks up the info on her laptop and answers his questions immediately. It ends with the boy asking his parents another question, and the parents call for the daughter. What company is being advertised? Even more so, who is the actress who plays the mother?

A. It's for AT&T's DSL internet service.

It advertises the worst parents on the planet....I mean, really? It takes both parents to change a lightbulb, and one of them can't stop to help their son?

Parents and non-parents, how do you decide which questions to answer?
Q. Do you only answer parenting questions? Do you only answer the questions of people with 'real' pictures in their icons? Do you answer any and all questions?

BQ: What is your favorite thing about Fall ?
By 'real' pictures I meant 'not a question mark'

A. I answer questions that I CAN answer, that interest me, that I know something about or have experience with.

I only go in parenting, toddler and preschooler, and occasionally, newborn and baby. Very occasionally, I venture into the running section.

What is the difference between race and ethnicity?

Q. I have looked at past questions and answers on this subject but I am still confused. Can someone please explain to me what is my race and ethnicity?
I am Hispanic as far as my parents and my skin color. But I was born in the US and raised speaking only English.

A. As far as I've read, there are only 3 races (Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and Negroid). There are many ethnicities. For example, my race is Caucasian, and my ethnic background is Ecuadorian, French-Canadian, and British.

YA is being stupid and censored me, even though I am NOT trying to insult anyone....ugh. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negroid

Are the liberals on Yahoo answers representative of liberals as a whole?
Q. Reading the questions and answers posted by liberal on this site it has become obvious to me that they are either 12 year old boys on their parents' computers or they aren't very smart. Some of the questions and answers are quite juvenile and you rarely get one from a liberal that is capable of abstract thought. Do you think the liberals on Yahoo answers representative of liberals as a whole?

A. Absolutely. Look at the OWS movement, it's all populated with the same libs that troll these boards!!!

Why are teens so looking forward to get their driver's license and drive?
Q. I read questions and answers from other teens on here that they're looking forward to taking driver's ed, getting their license, getting a car, and taking their friends out every weekend this summer. Are they totally oblivious that gasoline is skyrocketing, and will be $4 a gallon this summer, and probably $5 a gallon next year? And car insurance will cost more than twice what their parents pay for themselves combined.

A. Teens don't usually think about that stuff, because at 16, their parents are most likely paying for all of that, including the car itself.

On the other hand it is good to learn how to drive earlier, so they can be more independent.
