Q. I have had advanced level astronomy and cosmology, read the popular magazines on the topic but have not found a place to ask questions that seem above YA level.
A. It's not your education level Mike - it's your inability to put your words together to explain what is inside your mind. I've read your astronomy answers. There is a reason why they are not picked BA. If you want to be in other categories than the Singles and Marriage zones which you tend to frequent, try taking some courses in communication.
It matters not what your head contains if you have no way of communicating it to others.

What are some good online forums for discussing language learning, specifically Italian?
Q. As in a place to ask questions about certain grammatical rules, why certain things from certain textbooks are taught this way or that way, etc. Of course there's Yahoo Answers, but for language it can often come up short...

Is Yahoo Answers A Good Place To Ask Questions?
Q. I`m really getting into politics and was wondering if this was a good place to ask questions and exchange thoughts.
I would also like to know how I can get a pic for an avatar. I can`t seem to get the link to work. Thanks !

A. Sometimes, but mostly, no.
Could there possibly be a worse place to ask questions about Jesus than on yahoo answers?
Q. I'm just brainstorming here:
In a meeting of satanic witches?
A crowded public restroom?
In a super-tense scene in a movie at the cinema?
During a bank robbery?
By all means, ask questions about Jesus. But do yourself a favour: pick up your bible or call your local bible believing church. There's probably one closer than you think.

A. My dear dylan,
Yes, great, it's a good idea for someone who wants to ask questions about Jesus to pick up a Bible, or to call at a Bible-believing church, but try putting yourself in his shoes for a moment.
If a person doesn't know his way round the Bible, how does he know where the answers are? Okay, the Lord will direct him, but will he understand the answer when he finds it? Will he see what the Word is getting at? Don't you see, it soooo helps to speak to another human being who's gone a little further along the way and to have that empathy coming from them? There are people like that on Yahoo, you know, in among all the detractors, if you put out an appeal.
Also, as regards the 'local Bible-believing church' - now, how does a person know where that is? There's a lot of churches nowadays spiritually 'going to rack and ruin' - so how does he find the good ones amongst the bad ones? Yes, I know, the Holy Spirit will guide, but it's still not guaranteed that an enquirer will find the right one. There's so many churches nowadays following their own agenda which is not God's agenda. Sorry, but true.
The one common link here is the Holy Spirit, so, maybe I could suggest that, in amongst doing all of the above, and before a seeker does, it would be a good idea to pray. Doesn't have to 'compass heaven and earth' - the Lord hears the least little thing we utter towards him which comes from our deepest being.
There are people on Yahoo who are seeking this very thing - to help such people who need one-to-one answers. If a person asks a genuine question, these believers will come to him and try to help. The Holy Spirit will speak through them, too.
