What questions should I ask a life insurance salesman?

Q. Questions about health and conditions I have, should I mention them or not. If I'm on disability, should I tell them?

A. if you don't tell them the information about your helth, you may not be covered later on if there will be an inccident due to your disability...... Ask them what are you covered for - they will give you a brochure with all of the exclusiona nd information about your insurance anyways......... Look at insurance this way: if you are hiding imporatnt information that may "reduce" your premium but will not covere you in case of a real accident ... then that just means that your paying the premium for nothing.....

They should provide you with all the information you need

Can I wait one week to get my ferret its vaccinations?
Q. I am getting my first ferret friday from the petstore. I already have all i need for my little buddy. I have been reading online and read i have to get its shots. This brings me to my question...Health wise---Will it be alright if i wait one week (until next friday) to get its shots. If someone could answer asap i would be most grateful.

A. It would be better if you wait on getting the ferret until you have the proper funds to take him to the vet when you get him. Any new animal should be checked out by a vet within 48 hours of bringing him or her home (regardless if they need shots or any other such thing or not at the time).
Keep in mind ferrets are expensive pets as well- They are pretty much guaranteed a medical condition as they get older (generally in the adrenal glands and/or pancreas), and they are well known for getting into trouble that can result in high vet bills (My ferret stopped eating at one point, and I was worried he had eaten something he shouldn't- Vet visit, X-ray, and medicine came out to about $200. He did not have a blockage). If there's any worry about funds, and you can not keep an emergency vet visit fund than a ferret might not be the pet for you.

How to test and restore the health of a pond?
Q. There are a few ponds in my area that have gasoline in them and others that I'm questioning the health of, so I'm wondering if there is a way to test and restore their health. And if so can you please tell me how? Thanks!

A. A good deal of this depends on what part of the country you are in. Though it does sound as if the troubles you are dealing with regarding your ponds is a small version of what is happening in the Gulf -- sadly.

The three sources I would get in touch with are the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), The Nature Conservancy, and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The reason I suggest the DNR first is that have more offices that can potentially respond much more quickly than the others.

Here are some quick indicators on the health of a pond (again, where you are is key):

*Number of turtles you can spot on a nice day sunning themselves
*Toads or frogs can be seen, heard, or both
*Active birds (red-wing blackbirds and goldfinches for example) are easy to spot
*Do the cattails around the pond go through a regular cycle
*Does the pond look to have a higher water mark after a heavy rain

Best of luck!
