What questions do divorce judge ask on the court date?

Q. On the divorce date when you have an uncontested divorce, what kind of questions do the judges ask? And how long are you in the courtroom? I have never been in a courtroom, so i am very nervous

Do they ask questions about finance, for example? There are no children involved. IF they are ask aobut finance, what I need to take / show? What kind of financial questions
My state does not allow one attorney for both.. Besides we have a papers drawn up already as for how we will split the assests

A. Generally speaking they ask you questions that deal with parting from one another legally.

Assets, home, furnishings, pets, vehicles, joint credit card or checking accounts... Basically just the facts so to speak on terminating the marriage - no emotions are necessary.

How do you stop someone from asking prying questions about your financial situation?
Q. My husband has a family member that is always asking what I consider to be extremely personal questions about our finances, such as how much we paid for our house, our amount of debt, our interest rates, etc., and then criticizing everything we have and do. How would you handle this from now on? It's starting to get really old.

A. Interestingly, if they wanted to find out this information, it's on the internet freely available to the public for at least a year, sometimes longer depending on where you live. It seems like they are just being nosey.

Depending on who this family member is, you might want to handle a certain way. For example, his mother might be different than say your sister-in-law or a cousin. In the end, you want to tell them that it is a boundaries issue, and say that you and your husband don't talk about these things, and change the subject. Next time, you have to have a new subject ready, and change it to that asap.

If this person is giving you money or did give you money, that's the only other reason why they could be so pushey beyond the obvious nosey-ness.

How can I find someone who can advise me about a financial problem?
Q. I would like to speak with a professional person because I need advice regarding a financial problem. I'm not even sure what the title would be, and how i would find such a person? Please answer me if you can help me and I will be really grateful... I know this might seem like an ignorant question but finance isn't my field and I worry about people trying to take advantage of me (people suck sometimes)

If you can help me thanks!

A. Your local citizens advice bureau. You can find a list of them via Google Maps. Just input the area you live in and type in citizens advice bureau in the "Find Business" tab: http://www.google.com/maps

Good Luck~

I know it will take YEARS to rectify my credit report but there are always dirty collectors who refuse to make the appropriate reportings and i'd like to talk with people who are having similar experiences that i am having...
