Q. I am applying for loans next semester as my pell grants and my own finances will not be enough. Does anyone have any experience with school loans? Will they do a credit check? Ask me questions about finances?

A. You can receive federal Stafford Loans with no credit check. As long as you aren't in default on a previous student loan, you should be eligible. If the Stafford Loans aren't enough to cover your expenses, then the next step is usually private loans, which do require good credit.
