Q. I have a job interview in an auto insurance company saturday morning. My moms friend is the owner of the company so she got me the interview,Im currently taking computer classes in college but what else do i need to know in order to work there? please help
A. Depends what the position is. You are not expected to know how an auto insurance policy works, if that is your question. They just want to know you are eager to learn, will get along with others,a nd will work hard.
By the way, if it is a Saturday interview, I bet it is an insurance agency, not an insurance company.
But you might do some background reading about auto insurance.

How is auto insurance (a contracted business service within a capitalist economy) legally enforceable?
Q. How can a government, who supposedly stays as far out of a capitalist economy as possible, enforce that you purchase auto insurance? Isnt that a consumers right to buy or not buy?
One could argue that the privilege to drive at all is granted by the government, and you should abide by their requirements. But by that logic, wouldnt having insurance first be a prerequisite before you could get licensed?

A. First.. I might be ignorant but I thought the USA was the first capitalistic country of the world, so by "that logic" how can their government try to stay "out of it" as much as possible?? If a country is capitalistic, you'd think that it is because of the government that it has and nothing else.
But anyway, call me an idiot or a dancing fool (I am dancing right now..) and here's to your question.
It is all about not being able to save up 10 grand, isn't it? Or is it all about having to show off your masculine attributes by having a car that's flashier than mine? Or a mixture of both and who knows how many more ridiculous factors
Think about it. I mean.. how difficult is it to get car insurance nowadays?
If you are able to buy a car with your own money, maybe you don't have anything to prove and so you just need a car for transport.. you know.. something that's 10 years old will then do.
You don't live beyond your means as you have a brain and can use it and so there's plenty of cash in the bank. After all there have been years of plenty (haven't there?)
So you are now buying something that hasn't had a tough life, not very sporty at all and not too fashionable but sound, it won't cost you the earth as it isn't fashionable and so with not even 3 grand you get something that's done 27.000 miles and has service history.
Maybe get some new tyres and brakes as it's been garaged for the last 9 years and the tyres cracked and the brakes got a bit glazed.. give it a full service and a new battery. Maybe it'll be another $1500.. so..newly serviced, spanking new tyres, brakes wow.. it'll serve you for the next 10 years now won't it. For less than 5 grand.
Now you can get liability coverage for it. Get medical coverage for your self and passengers and that's it. You don't need full coverage.
You are a good driver so you have never had a claim in the last 15 years and so your insurance will now cost you about $42.50 a month.
That's peanuts.. most people you know spend that much on BEER in just a week end.. but no..
Maybe your insurance il $395 a month because you claimed 3 times in as many years and have no money saved up to buy the latest, flashest model and so in the end it isn't your fault but the government's.
But this I mean in general.. not especially YOU..

Can an auto insurance company deny coverage for a person convicted of a non-driving related felony?
Q. Time has been served; now being told that obtaining auto insurance will be difficult. Need transportation to work and continue life in new direction - vicious circle. What, if any, companies might be best to check?
A. I don't know what idiot told you insurance companies do not take money from felons, if that were the case half the country would not have insurance. The only possible way an insurance company would know this information is if you tell them. If you had a problem somewhere else, either you mentioned it or someone close to you has a big mouth. Forget what you heard, if you need insurance then grab the phone book sit down and call as many local insurance agents as you can stand. (I can usually call 10 or 12 of these thief's. Make notes who has the best rates. If you have not had insurance recently that's ok so have many others just say no to that question. You will automatically be a high risk for your first policy period. Some insurance companies will write a six month policy. If you get a six month policy you only have to pay higher rates for six months. If you get a 12 month policy, you will pay higher rates for 12 months.
Once you receive a renewal notice after completing your first policy successfully ( pay on time, no tickets or accidents) your rates will come down. Its not a good idea to try to get insurance through online companies. And do not use web sites that promise multiple quotes. The reason is they will try to get all your key information name, address and phone and Email and compile mailing lists which they then sell to anyone who wants them. And of course you start getting spam in the email, unwanted phone calls and junk mail in the mail box. Calling an agent local to you is still the best way to get insurance. By law, insurance companies can only go back three years period. but some Ins. companies don't say three years so don't worry about it all they need to know is a driving history for three years, if you do not have three years worth just say you did not have a license then, they cannot check anyway. good luck never volunteer information answer only what they ask nothing more. Just do not try to buy firearms and it will be ok, stay out of trouble for 3 to 5 years and you can petition the court ti have the felony reduced to a misdemeanor.

Rephrasing my last question: How do you become and Auto insurance agent/salesperson?
Q. I live in the state of Florida and I am trying to find how to become an auto insurance agent/ sales. and I was wondering how do you get started and where do you go to get licensed?
A. Please do not click on that "ehow" link in a previous answer. Those articles are written by people who's main objective is to make money on the click ads and most of those articles have many errors and omissions.
Follow Tom Z's advice.
In addition, my advice is, after you've gotten the license and the appointments to a company is to have at least 6 months (preferably a year) living expenses saved up prior to starting your sales. 95% of new agents wash out the first year, primarily because they can't afford to live and feed the new business at the same time.
