A. Well it really depends on what country you are in about the plan. Im in New Zealand for example and all of our providers allow prepaid plans on any phone, including iphones (I would now because i have one). But that may be different in wherever you live. Best idea is to go into your carrier's closest shop/outlet and talk to a consultant about the plan.

A. you didn't specify who your carrier is, but according to the AT&T Website the iPhone can not be used with pre-paid plans.

A. yes u can get them prepaid alot of ppl buy it off of other ppl used or possibly new to avoid the contract you can put your sim card in it and it should work if your with at&t or you can get it unlocked for service providers such as tmobile..depends on your company but i went to at&t and asked they said any phone can become prepaid all you have to do is stick your sim card into the phone you'll have your same number and it should work maybe not all the features on the iphone will work without the data plans but you should still have the phone text wifi (i think) camera and itunes.... hope this helps
