Is $600 a good price to sell my iPhone 3G to my friend for?

Q. My friend is wanting to buy my black 8GB iPhone 3G off me for $600 as I am wanting to upgrade to the recently released iPhone 3GS. Do you think that $600 is a fair price? The iPhone is in top condition, as-new, less than a month old and is with Telstra network. Any input appreciated

A. Those are most likely starting bids, but I'm not sure. I don't really do eBay, so don't take my word for it. I think the best way to get a cheap iPhone/iPod Touch is to buy a refurbished one. You can most likely find a refurbished iPod on Apple's website, and can find a refurbished iPhone on AT&T's website.

A. hey kubric .. they no longer make or sell the original iPhone so whatever is out there is out there.
I suspect in the next few weeks there will be quite a few original ones floating around with all the upgrading being done to the "new" 3g iPhone!

Most of our stores in the US are out of the orignal iPhone.
